Tomorrow is my first day of classes and I am already behind on my reading. I live a little over an hour from law school, so I went online and ordered my textbooks last week and requested that they be shipped to me. I expected them to arrive on Friday, Saturday at the latest. They still hadn't arrived today so I called the bookstore and after searching around for 30 minutes they located them all packed up and ready to be picked up. They said that they didn't realize I wanted them shipped even though that is the option I selected when I ordered them online. They offered to ship them overnight at their own cost- but there is no sense in that- I will be on campus tomorrow for classes.
So I have to pick up my books tomorrow-after my first 2 classes. Not a great way to start the semester- already behind in assignments.

The Very First Post
I have been reading many blogs of mothers in law school and moms who are lawyers and decided to take the plunge and start my own.
About Me:
I am 36 and a single mother of three children (10,6, & 3). I am about to start my third year of law school, but I don't think I actually qualify as a 3L because I have three semesters left and plan to graduate in December of 2009. I also work part-time as an aide for a government organization. In my spare time (a think I rememer what that is!) I dabble in photography, love to read, travel whenever given the chance, and experiment with new recipes in my kitchen.
I'm sure there is much more to say, but I think that works for a start. I have been thinking about starting my own blog for a long time, but the first post has always been my stumbling block. So, I think I just need to go ahead and post and get past this "first post" hurdle.
